The Cook – Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation role is an onsite, full-time position in Far Rockaway, NY. Pay is $20 per hour. Far Rockaway Center is a 100-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility focused on residents’ quality of life, dignity, and independence. The cook prepares and serves meals, including therapeutic foods, and supports kitchen operations and cleanliness. The role helps provide food service for residents and may manage the kitchen when the food service director is absent.

What you'll do

• Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of foods
• bake rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies
• work on the tray line during meal service
• clean the kitchen
• wash and sanitize pots and pans
• manage the kitchen in the food service director’s absence.
