The Human Resources Generalist role is onsite in North Canton, OH. Compensation is not specified. The position supports employees and managers across assigned business units and locations at Stolle Machinery Company. Working with the HR Director, the generalist administers HR programs and provides employee and manager support across recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance, and the employee lifecycle to help implement workforce initiatives and support business objectives.

What you'll do

• Lead recruitment for exempt and nonexempt employees, students, and temporary employees
• guide and train managers on hiring and other employment practices
• administer compensation and performance management programs
• support HR policies, programs, and projects
• advise employees and managers on workplace concerns and document or assist with investigations
• maintain confidential employee records and support reporting, audits, and agency responses
• coordinate payroll inputs, benefits questions, and leave processes
• coordinate pre-employment activities, onboarding, orientation, employment changes, and separations. The schedule generally consists of 40 hours per week and may include on-call status, evenings, and/or weekends. Travel between company locations may be required.

Why this role

Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of progressively responsible HR experience preferred; high school diploma/GED and 4–6 years of HR experience required. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred. The role may include occasional on-call availability and travel between company locations.
