X-Ray Technologist

Job overview

The X-Ray Technologist role is onsite in Modesto, CA, with pay of $30–$50 per hour. The position supports American Family Care’s urgent care services, which treat acute illnesses and injuries, workers’ compensation cases, and occupational medicine needs. The technologist performs radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures to help physicians diagnose injuries and disease. The role also supports patient care and clinic operations through image quality checks, equipment upkeep, documentation, and occasional reception or medical-assisting coverage within appropriate guidelines.

What you'll do

• Greet patients and explain procedures
• position patients for imaging
• use ALARA radiation protection techniques
• process images and check identification and quality
• operate digital and non-digital imaging equipment
• assist providers with prescribed treatments as needed
• maintain equipment and arrange repairs
• complete records and reports
• serve as receptionist or medical assistant when needed within appropriate guidelines.
