Forestry Maintenance Worker

The Forestry Maintenance Worker works onsite in Muskogee, OK, primarily outdoors, on a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pay is $15.06 per hour. The role supports the City of Muskogee’s tree and vegetation maintenance on city property and rights-of-way. Reporting to the Forestry Supervisor, the worker helps transplant, remove, and maintain trees and other vegetation. The work contributes to ongoing tree care through tasks such as watering, fertilizing, treatment, diagnosis, and equipment operation.

What you'll do

• Operate forestry and maintenance equipment, including stump removers, brush chippers, tree spades, chainsaws, and aerial lifts
• transplant, remove, and maintain trees and horticulture on city property
• assist with fertilizing, chemical treatment, watering, diagnosing, and removal
• participate in organizing annual ceremonies and events
• perform other assigned departmental tasks.
