What you'll do

• Diagnose and treat illnesses, conditions, and injuries
• order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
• maintain patient information and histories
• prescribe and administer treatments, medications, and vaccinations
• explain procedures and results to patients and families
• monitor patient progress
• coordinate with and refer to other medical staff
• advise parents and guardians on health and prevention
• remain current on developments in pediatrics.
