Special Education Teacher

Job overview

The Special Education Teacher role is onsite in West Woodstock, VT. Compensation is $35–$40 per hour. Pediatric Developmental Services provides qualified teachers and pediatric therapists to public school districts, charter schools, and communities. The teacher develops and delivers individualized instruction and coordinates with families, school staff, administrators, and onsite therapists. The role supports student progress by implementing Individualized Education Plans, monitoring outcomes, and maintaining a safe, productive classroom.

What you'll do

• Create and execute Individualized Education Plans
• communicate student progress and challenges to staff and family members
• prepare lesson plans for administrator approval
• participate in scheduled IEP meetings
• use individualized reinforcement techniques
• invite family participation in student progress
• prepare quarterly progress reports
• consult with onsite therapists about disciplinary and behavioral issues
• create a safe, productive classroom environment.
