What you'll do

• Greet office guests
• gather preliminary data and patient history
• conduct pretesting that may include visual acuity, eye movement, intraocular pressure, retinal photos, visual fields, and optical coherence tomography
• explain prescreening tests and instructions
• document results in the EHR
• instruct patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care
• assist the optometrist during examinations
• help patients make frame and lens decisions
• assist other team members when needed.
