Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Technician role is an onsite position in Huger, SC. Pay is $28–$32 per hour. The technician supports heavy processing equipment and critical production operations in a manufacturing environment. The role maintains and improves mechanical systems to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability. Troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repairs, and collaboration with electrical technicians help keep production equipment operating effectively.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, chains, sprockets, couplings, and power transmission equipment. Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• align rotating equipment
• replace mechanical components
• and perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and minor machining as required. Read mechanical drawings and system diagrams, perform preventive and predictive maintenance and root-cause analysis, collaborate on repairs and upgrades, maintain documentation, and provide shift coverage as needed.

Why this role

Preferred experience includes steel processing, stamping, or heavy manufacturing, welding and fabrication, slitting equipment, overhead cranes, and heavy material handling systems. Listed proficiencies include OSHA 10, lockout/tagout, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and Allen Bradley and Fanuc controls and PLCs.
