The Mid-Level Traffic Engineer – Signals, ITS, and Lighting role is onsite in Pleasant Grove, UT. The salary range is $90,000–$125,000 per year. The position mainly supports Horrocks’ Utah offices, with opportunities to support other western-region offices on larger projects. The engineer develops traffic signal, intelligent transportation systems, and roadway lighting designs that support safer mobility and successful transportation project delivery. The role works with senior engineers, project managers, clients, agencies, utilities, and multidisciplinary teams to produce complete, standards-compliant project deliverables.

What you'll do

• Perform traffic engineering analysis and design for ITS, traffic signals, and roadway lighting
• prepare plans, specifications, estimates, memoranda, and reports
• design signal layouts, timing plans, interconnect systems, and roadway lighting
• support coordination, scheduling, and budget tracking
• collaborate with clients, agencies, and utilities
• apply MUTCD, FHWA, AASHTO, and DOT standards
• participate in meetings and technical presentations
• support quality reviews and respond to comments.
