Specimen Collector

Job overview

The Specimen Collector role is onsite in Shoreline, WA, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 5:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Compensation is $18.00–$21.75 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and location. Millennium Health is a specialty laboratory providing medication monitoring and drug testing services to support clinical decision-making. The collector obtains and processes patient specimens, records patient and order information, and serves as a link between clinics and the laboratory. The role also maintains collection supplies, addresses specimen or information concerns, and may require driving between facilities.

What you'll do

• Collect urine and/or oral-fluid specimens
• process and package collections for shipping
• serve as an intermediary between clinics and the laboratory
• record patient, physician-order, and laboratory information
• resolve specimen concerns involving billing or patient information in the ordering portal
• maintain collection supplies
• observe collections when applicable
• drive between facilities if required.
