Research Dental Assistant

The Research Dental Assistant position is onsite in Somerville, MA, with pay of $26–$30 per hour. The role joins the Center for Clinical and Translational Research at the ADA Forsyth Institute, which conducts oral health research and supports dental care for children in need. The assistant provides chairside support for clinical research studies and helps ensure study procedures, participant care, specimens, and documentation follow research protocols. What you'll do

• Assist study dentists and hygienists during screenings, visits, and procedures
• prepare participants and collect vital signs and study information
• follow protocols and complete training
• collect and enter research data
• collect, label, process, and store specimens
• maintain accurate records
• prepare operatories and research stations
• sterilize instruments
• prepare radiograph equipment and assist with X-rays
• maintain supplies
• respond to study communications
• maintain training and compliance documentation.

Why this role

Requires a current Massachusetts Dental Assistant license, dental radiology certification, CPR certification, an accredited dental assisting program, and at least three years of dental assisting experience. Clinical research and Good Clinical Practice training are required.
