Medication Technician (Certified Caregiver)

The Medication Technician (Certified Caregiver) role is onsite in Scottsdale, AZ. Compensation is $21–$22 per hour. The position supports Cogir Senior Living’s residents in its senior living communities and its mission to enrich residents’ lives. The technician provides direct care by assisting with medication administration and activities of daily living according to individualized plans. The role also supports resident safety, independence, engagement, and communication among residents, families, staff, and healthcare professionals.

What you'll do

• Assist with prescribed medication administration according to individual care plans
• document care and report changes in resident status
• manage medication inventory and storage and coordinate reorders and deliveries with pharmacies
• assist with activities of daily living
• provide emotional support, engagement, and companionship
• encourage participation in life enrichment activities
• communicate with healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.

Why this role

Requires a valid state medication administration license or meeting state assisted-living medication administration requirements; current First Aid and CPR or ability to obtain; at least 12 months of professional medication-administration experience; weekend rotation.
