Senior Power Electronics Engineer

Job overview

The Senior Power Electronics Engineer role is onsite in Gilbert, AZ, with compensation of $90–$140 per hour. The position designs high-reliability power electronics for demanding aerospace applications. The engineer contributes to mission-critical product performance by architecting and validating power designs across the product lifecycle. The role also provides technical leadership and collaborates with systems, software, mechanical, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams.

What you'll do

• Design DC-DC converters and related power subsystems
• perform circuit design, simulation, component selection, schematic capture, and guide PCB layout and thermal and EMI/EMC considerations
• lead hardware bring-up, integration, debugging, verification, and qualification
• develop specifications, design reviews, test plans, and verification documentation
• conduct root-cause analysis
• mentor engineers
• collaborate across product teams
• ensure designs meet aerospace and defense reliability, environmental, and performance requirements.
