The role serves youth in secure residential treatment and detention settings and collaborates with education, counseling, probation, special education, and treatment staff.

What you'll do

  • Use the Bright Thinker curriculum platform and approved materials
  • monitor student progress and provide instructional support and interventions
  • assign, evaluate, and document coursework
  • maintain attendance, grades, progress reports, and behavioral documentation
  • provide instruction across assigned academic subjects and varied student needs
  • support graduation pathways and transition planning
  • maintain a structured, safe classroom
  • implement PBIS strategies and behavior intervention plans
  • collaborate with educational staff, counselors, transition coordinators, and treatment teams
  • supervise youth during instruction and transitions.
