The Aircraft Mechanic (Airframe and Powerplant) role is onsite in Peoria, IL, with starting pay of $25–$40 per hour based on experience. The mechanic supports aircraft maintenance operations at Byerly Aviation. The role exists to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair general aviation aircraft and components while following manufacturer guidance and applicable aviation and airport requirements. Accurate maintenance, documentation, and parts accountability support safe aircraft operation and customer needs.

What you'll do

• Inspect, service, troubleshoot, repair, replace, and overhaul aircraft components and systems
• interpret maintenance manuals, directives, service bulletins, and engineering drawings
• examine and adjust engines and propellers
• repair or replace worn components and wiring
• perform routine aircraft servicing
• account for parts, materials, and documentation
• comply with Byerly Aviation, airport, FAA, TSA, and other applicable rules.
