This hands-on technical leader establishes and executes characterization strategy across research, technology and process development, manufacturing scale-up, and production support. By leading laboratory teams, methods, investigations, and infrastructure, the manager helps deliver reliable analytical results that support innovation and manufacturing excellence.

What you'll do

• Lead the Characterization function, including the Analytical Laboratory and Methods Development teams
• provide technical leadership in analytical science and materials characterization
• review data, troubleshoot analytical challenges, guide method development, and participate in investigations
• oversee development, validation, automation, and improvement of methods and workflows
• lead root-cause investigations with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and EHS
• establish laboratory procedures, standards, data quality requirements, and training
• implement data management, automation, and digital tools
• establish performance metrics
• ensure reliable laboratory capabilities and infrastructure
• recruit, coach, mentor, and develop technical staff
• foster safety and continuous improvement.
