Preconstruction Coordinator

The Preconstruction Coordinator role is onsite in Houston, TX. Compensation is not specified. The coordinator supports the Preconstruction and Operations teams by organizing project information, tracking progress and risks, and coordinating the handoff from estimating to construction. The role helps teams identify project concerns early, maintain documentation, and prepare incoming work for successful execution.

What you'll do

• Document exchanges from Estimating to Construction and build project information folders
• set up projects, create job numbers, and update tracking logs and procedures
• assist Preconstruction Engineers with administrative and data-entry tasks
• monitor production statistics
• assist with Procurement LOIs
• build project organization charts with Operations
• review documents against local code, owner standards, and SMACNA
• issue required RFIs and value engineering
• coordinate databases in Smartsheet
• support timely subcontract issuance
• assist with backgrounds and early BIM coordination
• review risks and identify scope gaps
• provide early site-logistics insight and schedule development
• coordinate project handoff
• participate in design, value engineering, scheduling, and constructability reviews
• update fabrication charts and submittal processes.
