Forensic Peer Navigator

Job overview

The Forensic Peer Navigator role is hybrid in Las Cruces, NM, with pay of $30 per hour and a Monday–Friday, 40-hour schedule. Ideal Option provides evidence-based treatment for opioid use disorder and works to support people and communities affected by substance use disorder. The navigator provides outreach and intensive case management to people suspected of low-level drug offenses, connecting them with services and supporting their housing, recovery, and interactions with the criminal justice system.

What you'll do

• Provide outreach and intensive case management to assigned clients
• engage participants in the community and at service-provider facilities
• assess substance-use and housing needs
• help participants access funding and housing
• advocate within the criminal justice system and with service providers
• build community partnerships
• provide information about medication-assisted treatment and substance use disorder
• guide staff and patients through virtual intake and provider visits.
