The Registered Nurse (RN) – Residential Substance Use & Mental Health, Nights is an onsite role in Rochester Hills, MI. The schedule is Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., for 36 hours per week. Compensation is not specified. The nurse joins the founding team at Banyan Treatment Centers’ new residential facility, supporting inpatient substance use and mental health treatment, including medically supervised withdrawal management. The nurse provides direct care and clinical assessment to support patient stabilization and recovery. The role administers prescribed medications, responds to medical needs, documents care, and coordinates with physicians and the interdisciplinary treatment team to incorporate medical concerns into treatment planning.
What you'll do
- Complete nursing assessments and admission documentation within 24 hours
- administer prescribed medications and treatments and provide medication education
- assess medical needs and initiate interventions, referrals, or emergency response
- assess suicide risk and safety concerns
- transcribe and implement physician orders
- communicate patient health concerns to nursing and clinical leadership
- contribute medical issues to treatment planning
- educate patients
- document care in the EHR and follow confidentiality, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards.
