The USMLE Counselor / Tutor role is hybrid in Park Ridge, IL, working in the office Monday through Thursday and from home on Fridays, with hours Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. The role supports the Office of the Dean of Clinical Affairs at Saint James School of Medicine, an accredited Caribbean medical school helping students prepare for careers as physicians. This position mentors students preparing for NBME and USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK, monitors academic progress, and helps students improve performance and residency outcomes through individualized support and exam preparation.
What you'll do
- Counsel students individually and monitor progress
- identify at-risk students and develop targeted improvement strategies
- develop and maintain USMLE/NBME-style questions and exam materials
- review exam performance and provide feedback
- support the Core Concept Review Program and mock exams
- coordinate study groups
- use CRM tools to track progress and report results
- participate in academic meetings.
