Life Enrichment Specialist

The Life Enrichment Specialist role is onsite in Tacoma, WA, with a Wednesday–Sunday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pay is $21.76–$25.18 per hour. eliseo is a not-for-profit senior living community serving the greater Tacoma community and providing skilled nursing, memory care, assisted living, and independent living. The specialist plans and delivers activities that support residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. The role includes individual and group programming, resident outings, care planning, and documentation in coordination with nursing staff.

What you'll do

• Assess, develop, and deliver therapeutic activity programs for an assigned caseload
• provide one-to-one interactions and group activities
• deliver scheduled programs such as reality orientation, sensory stimulation, exercise, adaptive crafts, and pet therapy
• plan and coordinate resident outings
• maintain required assessments, participation records, progress notes, and reviews
• develop written care plans supporting non-pharmacological interventions
• support in-house pet care
• maintain program supplies
• attend nursing report meetings and relevant committees.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of social or recreational program experience in a healthcare setting, current driver’s license and auto insurance, CPR training, and a food handler’s card.
