Part-Time Weekend Youth Engagement Specialist — Overnight

The Part-Time Weekend Youth Engagement Specialist role is onsite in Washington, DC, with a Saturday and Sunday overnight schedule from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Pay is $18.40 per hour. The specialist provides overnight supervision, engagement, counseling, and safety support for youth in a residential setting. The role also documents activities and incidents, responds to crises, and helps maintain a safe and supportive home environment.

What you'll do

• Conduct rounds inside and outside the building
• engage youth and facilitate activities
• provide counseling and crisis intervention when appropriate
• supervise the house and enforce rules
• inspect rooms and common areas
• help de-escalate resident conflicts and document incidents
• coordinate with medical or government personnel as needed
• carry out emergency procedures
• complete logs, paperwork, and data entry
• provide administrative office coverage
• assist with light janitorial duties and shift coverage as needed.

Why this role
