Assistant Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Assistant Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Shreveport, LA. Pay is $17–$21 per hour. The position supports Fairfield Property Management by restoring vacant apartments to market-ready condition and assisting with property upkeep.

What you'll do

• Inspect vacated apartments and complete make-ready checklists
• perform general plumbing and basic electrical work, minor drywall repairs, and repairs to screens, blinds, lights, switches, disposals, fans, and locks
• install appliances and fixtures
• remove trash and debris
• perform pool maintenance
• inspect grounds, buildings, fixtures, appliances, and equipment
• report unusual conditions
• help maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies
• follow company policies and procedures safely.

Why this role
