The Tin Knocker — Sheet Metal Technician role is onsite in Scarborough, ME, with a Monday–Friday schedule and start times of 7, 8, or 9 a.m.; finish times are 4 or 5 p.m. Pay is $28–$38 per hour, depending on experience. LaPlante Electric is a family-run Maine company providing electrical services and installations, including standby generators and ductless heat pumps. The technician fabricates, assembles, and installs HVAC ductwork and sheet metal components. The role uses blueprints and tools to measure and shape materials, install duct systems and related components, and test completed work with the crew for safe, timely completion.

What you'll do

• Fabricate, assemble, and install HVAC ductwork and sheet metal parts
• read blueprints and drawings
• measure, cut, bend, and fit sheet metal
• install duct systems, registers, diffusers, and dampers
• seal, insulate, and test ductwork
• coordinate with crew members to complete jobs safely and on time.
