What you'll do

• Assess patients and significant others’ understanding of disease and surgical intervention
• provide perioperative teaching
• manage nursing interventions during the perioperative period
• assess patients before surgery
• prepare the operating room and verify supplies and equipment
• provide care across age groups
• administer medications safely
• position patients appropriately
• perform surgical preparation
• handle and document specimens
• maintain emergency supplies
• keep surgical suites clean and stocked
• participate in medical-records QAPI and quality improvement.
