Activity Assistant

Job overview

The Activity Assistant role is onsite in Waukesha, WI; compensation is $12–$14 per hour. The position works directly with residents at Aria of Waukesha, where the interdisciplinary team supports residents’ autonomy, dignity, and recovery. The assistant facilitates activities that encourage socialization, relaxation, and recreation while supporting residents’ care plans and quality of life. The role helps residents learn about and participate in programs, gathers feedback, prepares materials, and reports relevant concerns to the appropriate staff.

What you'll do

• Facilitate activity programs for individuals and groups with varied needs
• introduce new residents to available activities and encourage participation
• assess activity needs and goals
• observe programs and gather feedback
• provide input to the Activity Director and assist with planning and calendars
• prepare program materials and supplies
• keep activity areas clean, safe, and organized
• maintain participation records
• assist with holiday and special-event decorations
• report medical concerns, injuries, or behavioral incidents
• follow safety procedures.
