Commercial Property Insurance Program Manager

The Commercial Property Insurance Program Manager role is onsite in Boston, MA, with a base salary range of $150,000–$175,000 per year, plus annual bonus eligibility. The role is part of Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance’s Commercial Programs team, which manages delegated underwriting authority programs and supports their development. The manager oversees assigned programs’ execution, performance, and strategic development, using underwriting judgment and performance data to support profitable portfolios and sustainable growth. The role also coordinates with program administrators and internal teams to maintain program alignment and compliance.

What you'll do

• Manage execution, monitoring, performance, and strategic development of assigned programs
• lead due diligence for prospective delegated authority programs
• maintain product expertise and underwriting guidelines
• work with Program Administrators and Third-Party Administrators
• apply Commercial Property and Inland Marine underwriting expertise
• coordinate with actuarial, claims, legal, operations, and IT stakeholders
• develop and monitor performance metrics
• conduct underwriting audits
• coordinate communications
• travel domestically about once per month.

Why this role

Requires at least five years of Commercial Property underwriting experience; prior program management experience is beneficial. Inland Marine underwriting experience is a plus, not required. Domestic travel about once per month is required.
