This role exists to provide safe and effective nursing care to patients postoperatively until they are dismissed from the facility, ensuring a positive patient experience.

What you'll do

• Prepare patient care area
• Ensure necessary equipment and supplies are provided
• Demonstrate proper airway management techniques
• Monitor patients according to policy (vital signs, temperature, cardiac, etc.)
• Exhibit proper technique for insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters and saline locks
• Perform and document head to toe evaluation of patients utilizing an approved scoring system
• Check dressings and/or operative site and report abnormalities to the surgeon
• Provide a safe and comforting environment for patients and family
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria.

What we're looking for

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing

Experience

1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or Surgery
