Water Damage Restoration Technician

Job overview

The Water Damage Restoration Technician role is an onsite, full-time, year-round position in Danville, VA. Compensation is $16–$18 per hour based on experience. The technician joins Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup’s Danville team to assist with residential and commercial restoration projects. The role helps restore properties after leaks, flooding, and other water damage by supporting extraction, drying, cleanup, and monitoring work. Technicians use specialized equipment, document progress, and communicate with customers and teammates to help move projects forward.

What you'll do

• Assist with water extraction, drying equipment setup, cleanup, removal of damaged materials, and monitoring affected areas
• learn to operate air movers, dehumidifiers, moisture meters, and other restoration equipment
• document job progress

• communicate professionally with customers and teammates.

Previous restoration experience is not required; training is offered. IICRC Water Restoration Technician certification is a plus but not required.
