Job overview

The Director of Community Development & Financial Wellness role is fully onsite in Albany, NY. Compensation is $80,000–$90,000 per year. The director leads First New York Federal Credit Union’s community development, outreach, and financial wellness strategy. The role builds community partnerships and oversees sponsorship, youth banking, school partnerships, financial education, and volunteer initiatives. These efforts strengthen community relationships, expand financial education, and support membership growth and the credit union’s strategic goals.

What you'll do

• Develop community engagement, financial wellness, sponsorship, and outreach strategies
• set initiative goals, budgets, and performance measures
• supervise and coach the Community Engagement & Financial Wellness Officer
• build partnerships with schools, nonprofits, businesses, and community organizations
• oversee sponsorships, volunteer initiatives, charitable giving, youth banking, and school programs
• track and report outcomes
• collaborate with internal banking and marketing teams.
