The Medical Denials Specialist is an onsite role in Greenville, SC, with pay of $18.00–$21.00 per hour based on relevant experience and qualifications. The specialist researches and resolves denied and outstanding professional claims, takes corrective action, submits appeals or corrected claims, and follows up within payer deadlines. Accurate account documentation and patient billing support help the practice pursue timely and appropriate reimbursement.

What you'll do

• Research denied claims, identify causes, correct claims, gather supporting documentation, and submit appeals, reconsiderations, disputes, or corrected claims. Monitor deadlines and follow up on claims and appeals
• use payer portals and communications
• review EOB and ERA information
• document research and actions
• answer patient billing questions, contact patients for information, collect payments by phone, and update or verify insurance information.
