Construction Project Engineer

The Construction Project Engineer role is onsite in Athens, OH. Compensation is not specified. Buckeye Construction & Restoration repairs, restores, and modifies masonry, concrete, and steel structures, including historic, commercial, and infrastructure projects. The engineer supports project managers and estimators throughout the project lifecycle, helping projects meet budget, schedule, and quality requirements. The role coordinates documentation, estimates, stakeholders, technical review, quality assurance, and risk management.

What you'll do

• Assist project managers and estimators with project plans, schedules, and budgets
• estimate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor needs
• prepare and maintain project documentation
• coordinate communication and resources
• provide technical research and cost analysis
• support vendor and subcontractor selection
• monitor quality and resolve deviations
• identify risks and mitigation strategies
• and contribute to post-project reviews and process improvements.
