Job overview
The Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) works onsite in West Palm Beach, Florida, with in-person and/or telehealth appointments described. Compensation is not specified. Health Haven and Health Synergy Clinical Research provide outpatient psychiatric care and conduct clinical research. Under appropriate clinical supervision, the intern provides psychotherapy to adults, supports assessments and individualized treatment planning, and maintains clinical documentation. Collaboration with clinicians and psychiatric providers contributes to coordinated, evidence-based care and the intern’s progression toward independent licensure.
What you'll do
- Assist with clinical assessments and treatment planning
- complete accurate clinical documentation
- coordinate care with licensed clinicians, psychiatrists, and multidisciplinary team members
- apply evidence-based therapeutic approaches under supervision
- provide individual psychotherapy to adult patients
- participate in supervision, case consultations, meetings, and training
- support quality improvement
- comply with ethical, regulatory, and Florida intern requirements.
