The Prep Cook role is onsite in Des Plaines, IL, with compensation of $19.75 per hour, paid weekly. The position supports a large-scale food production operation preparing meals for travel-industry customers. The cook prepares ingredients and assists with meal production under the direction of First Cooks and Chefs. Following recipes, food-safety requirements, and production priorities helps the culinary team deliver meals to required quality and timing standards.

What you'll do

• Prepare ingredients and assist with cooking to recipes and specifications
• use safe cutting techniques and kitchen equipment
• follow direction from First Cooks, Chefs, and senior staff
• maintain food safety and sanitation, including HACCP compliance
• adapt to changing production priorities
• follow workplace rules and wear required personal protective equipment.

Why this role
