The Skilled Maintenance Assistant role is onsite in Buffalo, NY. Pay is $18–$20 per hour, depending on experience. The assistant helps maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for residents, visitors, and staff through preventive maintenance, repairs, facility upkeep, and safety inspections.

What you'll do

• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment
• complete building repairs including painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical work, ceiling tile, and window or screen repairs
• provide floor and carpet care
• conduct generator tests, fire drills, extinguisher inspections, water temperature checks, and safety inspections
• respond to maintenance requests and work orders
• assist with security, grounds maintenance, snow removal, salting, trash removal, and linen collection
• perform basic mechanical and HVAC maintenance
• transport staff in facility vehicles when assigned
• report maintenance concerns and safety hazards.
