The Aircraft and Powerplant Mechanic position is onsite in the Billings Metropolitan Area, MT. The posting states pay of $27 per hour. Cape Air’s maintenance team maintains its fleet of multi-engine cabin-class aircraft. The mechanic performs and documents aircraft maintenance, supports shift handoffs and fleet-status updates, and helps keep aircraft and maintenance facilities ready for operation. The role may include road trips to repair aircraft at stations outside the maintenance base.

What you'll do

• Follow company maintenance manuals and applicable regulations
• perform maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications and FAA-accepted methods
• assist with shift turnover reports and meetings
• update fleet status
• conduct assigned on-the-job training
• complete maintenance records
• maintain an orderly work area
• open or close the facility
• perform aircraft run-ups and taxis
• travel to other stations for aircraft repairs
• clean aircraft after maintenance.
