Substance Use Disorder Counselor

The Substance Use Disorder Counselor role is an onsite, full-time position in Hanford, CA. Pay is $28 per hour. TURN’s stated mission is improving lives through client-centered care. The counselor assesses clients, develops treatment plans, provides individual and group counseling, and coordinates recovery services. The work supports client stabilization, progress through treatment, and relapse prevention.

What you'll do

• Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, collateral services, and recovery-related services
• conduct intakes and ASAM and level-of-care assessments
• create treatment plans and evaluate progress
• complete timely documentation
• review charts and treatment plans for compliance
• support family and significant-other participation
• facilitate placement and transportation as needed
• maintain confidentiality
• participate in program meetings.
