Community Coordinator

Job overview

The Community Coordinator role is onsite in Carrollton, TX, with a Sunday–Thursday schedule and required availability for both weekend days and holidays. Compensation is $22 per hour. The coordinator supports Operation Kindness Humane Society’s animal welfare work, helping pets and people through community engagement and shelter partnerships. The role strengthens relationships with volunteers, community members, organizations, and shelter partners. It coordinates volunteer programs and outreach, supports animal intake and transportation, and helps connect pet owners with veterinary services and other resources.

What you'll do

• Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, and engage volunteers
• coordinate youth and community programs
• maintain volunteer communications, records, schedules, and participation data
• support volunteer orientations and training
• coordinate volunteer staffing across departments
• assist with animal transportation between shelters and rescue partners
• support animal intake and partner shelter operations
• conduct community outreach and connect pet owners with services and resources.
