Systems Engineering Manager

The Systems Engineering Manager role is onsite in Palo Alto, CA. The salary range is $200,000–$250,000 per year. The manager supports ALSO’s electric mobility vehicle platforms and its mission to develop small electric vehicles for local transportation. The role leads systems requirements and feature development across vehicle programs, coordinating engineering and product teams from concept through validation to ensure system designs and features are clearly defined, traceable, and tested.

What you'll do

• Drive architecture and requirements development for micromobility vehicle platforms
• translate customer and product intent into system artifacts
• manage system, subsystem, and hardware-module requirements
• maintain end-to-end traceability
• develop distributed embedded-controller architectures and interfaces
• collaborate across engineering, design, product, and UI/UX teams
• support feature validation and test execution.

Why this role

Requires a BS/MS in a related field, 8+ years of systems engineering or embedded software experience, RTOS and embedded-systems knowledge, automotive communication protocol experience, and requirements-management tools or model-based systems engineering.
