The Senior Guidance, Navigation, and Controls Engineer role is onsite at E-Space’s Saratoga, CA office. The target base pay is $150,000–$200,000 per year. E-Space is developing a low Earth orbit satellite system for Internet of Things connectivity and services. The engineer designs, develops, simulates, and tests satellite attitude determination and control systems. The work validates mission-critical estimation and control algorithms and simulation models, supporting integration with flight software and the company’s satellite mission goals.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, tune, and test satellite attitude estimation and control algorithms
• develop and maintain high-fidelity six-degree-of-freedom GNC simulation tools
• run model/software-in-the-loop and Monte Carlo campaigns and analyze simulation and flight telemetry
• participate in flight-software integration and support hardware-in-the-loop testing
• apply software development and configuration management practices
• collaborate across teams
• contribute to engineering reviews and technical documentation and test reports.
