Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)

Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is an onsite role in Gilman, IL, with full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities. Pay is $18–$20 per hour, with an additional $1 per hour for hours worked after 7 PM. The role supports patients in structured substance use and mental health treatment programming at Banyan Treatment Centers. The BHT provides consistent support that helps patients engage in daily programming and build skills and accountability for recovery, while communicating observations and concerns to clinical and medical staff.

What you'll do

• Support structured daily programming and group coordination
• build trust-based relationships with patients
• monitor patients and the facility and conduct safety checks
• communicate observations to clinical and medical staff
• document observations and incidents
• transport patients to program and community appointments
• measure and record vital signs
• conduct UDS and breathalyzer testing
• provide emotional support
• refer clinical concerns appropriately
• assist with supplies, discharge preparation, and facility operations.
