What you'll do

• Perform general heavy civil construction labor
• direct traffic through work zones using signs, hand signals, and traffic-control devices
• communicate with crews, equipment operators, and the public
• monitor work-zone conditions and hazards
• assist construction vehicles entering and leaving work zones
• follow safety rules and use personal protective equipment
• report hazards to the lead or foreman
• perform other physical job-site tasks and work outdoors in varying weather.
