Fiber Optic Lead Technician

The Fiber Optic Lead Technician role is onsite in Santa Teresa, NM, for a long-term data center project. Compensation is $45–$50 per hour, plus $150 per diem for each day worked and overtime opportunities. PRT Staffing is hiring licensed New Mexico fiber optic leads and journeyman electricians for the project. The lead technician coordinates and performs fiber and copper cabling work, including installation, splicing, termination, testing, and troubleshooting. Accurate project documentation and installation of racks and low-voltage connections support the data center's cabling infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Lead and support fiber optic and copper cabling installation
• splice, terminate, test, and troubleshoot cabling
• install racks, cabinets, patch panels, and low-voltage connections
• read drawings, cable schedules, and rack elevations
• maintain test results, daily reports, redlines, and as-builts.
