Ophthalmic Technician

The Ophthalmic Technician is an onsite role in Mesquite, TX, with a Monday–Friday schedule of approximately 7:45 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Pay is $18–$22 per hour, based on experience. The role supports an established ophthalmology practice’s patient care team. The technician prepares patients, rooms, equipment, and testing areas; supports physicians and clinical staff during visits; and helps coordinate follow-up care. Hands-on training is provided so a patient-care professional can develop ophthalmology-specific skills and become more independent over time.

What you'll do

• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and testing areas
• assist with patient preparation and clinical workflow
• coordinate follow-up appointments, additional testing, and outside evaluations when requested
• maintain accurate patient information
• communicate scheduling and care next steps
• support physicians and clinical staff during visits
• cross-train on front-office responsibilities for coverage when needed.
