On-Call Bus Driver

On-Call Bus Driver is an onsite role in University Place, WA. Pay is $26–$30 per hour. The role provides safe transportation to and from school and for designated field trips or extra trips. It supports student safety by maintaining discipline, checking vehicle readiness, documenting issues, and following safety standards.

What you'll do

• Drive bus routes for students and authorized persons
• provide additional field-trip or extra-trip driving when designated
• maintain student discipline and report misbehavior
• check vehicle equipment and fuel before departure
• document irregularities
• complete pre-trip reports
• participate in scheduled safety meetings and training.

Why this role

The position is on-call for 10 months per year. When called in to cover, approximate hours are 5:45 a.m.–8:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m. Requires a Washington State commercial driver’s license with school bus and passenger endorsements, current medical examiner’s certificate, first aid certification, and a clean driving record.
