Medical Laboratory Scientist

What you'll do

• Handle and process specimens
• perform analyses using approved testing procedures
• review and release test results
• maintain proficiency-testing and on-site testing records
• follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, safety, and quality-control policies
• document calibrations, maintenance, and corrective actions
• report STAT or critical results to clients according to department procedure
• maintain reagents and test-kit date records
• review and train on new procedures
• attend department and safety training
• participate in regulatory inspections if needed
• perform other duties as directed.
