Senior Electrical Manufacturing Engineer

The Senior Electrical Manufacturing Engineer role is onsite in Los Angeles, CA, with a base salary range of $140,000–$175,000 plus equity. K2 Space is developing and mass-producing high-power satellite platforms for commercial and U.S. government customers. The engineer develops manufacturing methods and production flows for spacecraft electronics, moving designs from prototypes to high-rate production. The role also leads design-for-excellence reviews and provides technical guidance to engineers, technicians, and design peers.

What you'll do

• Lead design-for-excellence reviews across PCBs, PCBAs, machined components, assemblies, flight hardware, and tooling
• develop manufacturing systems for spacecraft electronic assemblies, electromechanical subassemblies, and harnessing
• create custom tools and processes, including MES software
• demonstrate manufacturing techniques on prototypes and improve manufacturability with design teams
• develop and refine subassembly build flows and production flows
• mentor and provide technical guidance to manufacturing engineers, technicians, and design peers
• partner with advanced manufacturing engineers on R&D of manufacturing technologies.
