The Charge Nurse – Acute, Night Shift works onsite in Saint Louis, MO. The posted pay range is $43–$47 per hour, with additional differentials of $3 per hour for weekday evening/overnight shifts and $5 per hour for weekend evening/overnight shifts. The role supports a youth mental health and wellness campus created through a partnership between St. Louis Children’s and KVC Health Systems. The charge nurse coordinates and supervises patient care on the assigned shift, directs nursing personnel, assists with direct care, and represents management when needed. The role supports safe, coordinated care for children and teens by overseeing staffing, communication, documentation, and crisis response.

What you'll do

• Plan, organize, and direct licensed and non-licensed nursing personnel
• coordinate services with providers, patients, families, ancillary departments, and medical staff
• maintain accountability for program activities during the shift
• keep management informed
• provide input on staff appraisals, orientation, and education
• document and communicate pertinent information while maintaining confidentiality
• provide patient care that supports safety and reduces risk
• participate in required meetings and committees
• oversee crisis response when needed.
