What you'll do
- Set up and operate CNC and other fabrication machines
- perform setups, including part programming
- read blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- inspect parts and verify dimensions and quantities with measuring devices
- detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
- coordinate jobs by priority
- follow safety rules
- maintain clean equipment and work areas
- perform routine preventive maintenance as needed
- complete required paperwork.
