What you'll do

• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatment
• prepare treatment areas and instruments
• help patients before, during, and after treatment
• verify medical history and take blood pressure and pulse when needed
• take and develop dental radiographs
• provide post-treatment instructions and oral hygiene education
• maintain infection control and sterilization
• stock operatories and maintain equipment
• perform duties permitted for a California Registered Dental Assistant, including procedures subject to the stated supervision requirements.
